Error Code Error Message Possible Causes Corrective Action
E01: Servo Comms Error Servos are not communicating with controller. Check that servo drives are powered up and Ethernet cables are connected and not damaged. The servo drive Ethernet cables are run in series starting at the controller, so start troubleshooting at the affected drive that is closes to the contrller cabinet.

E11: Tiny Dancer Servo Fault
E12: Feed A Servo Fault
E13: Feed B Servo Fault
E17: Overtravel "The Index Axis has rotated too far and triggered its overtravel prox.
• If this occurs during homing, it is possible the home prox is not working properly.
"Reset to clear the error.
• Confirm the home prox is working correctly.
• Confirm Index Axis home position is set correctly.
• Confirm the apply angles on the SAM HMI are entered correctly.
E18: Overtravel "The Y Axis has rotated too far and triggered its overtravel prox.
• If this occurs during homing, it is possible the home prox is not working properly.
"Reset to clear the error.
• Confirm the home prox is working correctly.
• Confirm Y Axis home position is set correctly.
E19: Overtravel "The X Axis has moved too far and triggered its overtravel prox.
• If this occurs during homing, it is possible the home prox is not working properly.
"Reset to clear the error.
• Confirm the home prox is working correctly.
• Confirm X Axis home positions are set correctly.
• Spacer start position may be set too low, causing gantry to want to start too close to the infeed side.
E20: Z Overtravel "The Z Axis has moved too far and triggered its overtravel prox.
• If this occurs during homing, it is possible the home prox is not working properly.
"Reset to clear the error.
• Confirm the home prox is working correctly.
• Confirm Z Axis home position is set correctly.
E34: Present Before Prestart. Purge Spacer and Retry Spacer is detected past the knife prior to prestart. Purge spacer to a fresh edge and try again.
E35: Raise Error The instruction within the program failed Reset machine and try again. If the problem persists, contact EAC.
E36: Head Lower Error The head failed to lower. Check the glass product stop and its 'retracted' prox.
E37: Move Head to Start Position Error The instruction within the program failed Reset machine and try again. If the problem persists, contact EAC.
E38: Feed Prestart Error The Tiny Dancer gear is unable to center itself. • Check that the Tiny Dancer encoder is reading properly.
• Confirm the Tiny Dancer tractor drive is shut and spacer is threaded properly.
E39: Synchronize Feed to Drive Axis Error An instruction within the program failed Reset machine. Purge. Check line data and try Auto again. If the problem persists, contact EAC.
E40: Desynchronize Feed from Drive Axis Error
E42: Knife Cycle Timeout
E43: Apply First Side Error
E44: Apply Second Side Error
E45: Apply Third Side Error
E46: Apply Fourth Side Error
E47: Apply Fifth Side Error
E50: Corner Index Error
E73: SAM Spacer Reel 1 VFD Fault The motor drive is faulted Check the Axis Status screen and/or the display on the drive for a fault description, and consult the Powerflex 527 User Manual for the corrective action.
E74: SAM Spacer Reel 2 VFD Fault"
E90: IO Fault "The IO rack in the electrical cabinet behind the SAM is not responding "Check the LEDs on the 1734-AENT/AENTR modules for status. If the module is faulted, consult the 1734-AENT user manual.
• If no LEDs are on, check the DC power supply and fuse
• Check the Ethernet switch for power
• Check the Ethernet cables are plugged in"
E91: Head IO Fault The IO rack in the SAM head electrical box is not responding
E92: Spacer Reel IO Fault "The IO rack in the unwind electrical box is not responding
E93: Main Valve Stack Fault The valve stack on the side of electrical cabinet behind the SAM is not responding Reset the station. If the error does not clear, power cycle the valve stack.
E94: Head Valve Stack Fault The valve stack on the applicator head is not responding.
E101: Must Purge Past Splice The machine thinks there is still a splice on the spacer that will end up on the next unit if it applies to it. Press Purge and START. Press the orange Purge 'Til Splice button.
E102: Spacer does not match Data The data for the glass on the SAM Infeed conveyor does not match what the SAM is currently running. Check the data for the glass on the SAM Infeed.
Check that the SAM is correct abou the size that it thinks it is running. The spacer size measurement may have mismeasured.
E166: Big Spacer Wheel Unwind Runaway The selected spacer reel may have unspooled Check the spacer reel for abnormalities.
E167: Spacer Reel Not Raised The reel in the selected spacer box is not raised. Raise the reel in the spacer box with the manual valve.
• Confirm the 'reel raised' sensor is working.
E168: Big Dancer Pegged The big dancer has been pulled tight and cannot move. Check for spacer getting hung up in the reel box.
E169: Big Dancer Low The big dancer is not being pulled up by any spacer when it should. Something is wrong. Check for missing spacer at the big dancer.
E170: Big Dancer Sensor Error The big dancer position sensor for the selected spacer drive is reading out of limits. Check the big dancer position sensor.
Check that the reel tractor drive is clamped.
Check that the spacer guide is correct (Up for large spacer)"
E171: Spacer not Detected Error Spacer was not detected after the knife during apply
or
Spacer was detected after knife while not applying.
This is usually caused by a spacer jam. Reset the SAM and clear the spacer jam before trying again.
E172: Change Spacer for Upcoming Product The next units on the line require different spacer than what is currently running. Perform a spacer change with the next required spacer size, select the appropriate drive box on the SAM HMI, and press START to resume.

E179: Spacer Size Detect Failed The measurement pincher failed measure the spacer size close enough to choose a spacer size. Stroke the air cylinder in and out while monitoring to check that the encoder reading changes. This is most easily done on the SAM parameters screen.
Increase the air pressure regulator if needed.
Adjust the size measurement home offset if needed.
